Portugal legend Luis Figo has said that Al-Nassr captain Cristiano Ronaldo is the most competitive footballer he has ever seen.
Figo said this while admiring Ronaldo’s longevity and ability in the game.
He described the former Manchester United forward as an ‘animal’ in football.
Ronaldo is set to feature in the UEFA Euro 2024 in Germany, making it his sixth appearance in the competition.
The 39-year-old led Portugal to a Euro triumph in 2016.
“He’s an animal, he’s the most competitive guy I have seen after me [laughs],” Figo told Marca.
“I’m kidding. He continues to score goals and always will because [he’s] a player with that essence and that gift.
“I am happy for him because he is going to end his career scoring goals and, when he decides, playing in great championships.”
