Abia Warriors seek derby spoils against Heartland

Abia Warriors captain, Augustine Njoku says the team is battle-ready for the oriental derby against Heartland.
Njoku revealed that the target of the Umuahia-based outfit is to maintain their unbeaten run.
Abia Warriors are yet to taste defeat since the sack of former head coach, Erasmus Onuh.

Njoku is optimistic about securing a good result against Heartland at the Awka City Stadium on Wednesday (today).
“The unbeaten run is a good one for the team which shows the team are coming back to winning ways,” he told the club’s media.
“The spirit is high as we wish to maintain the run, the feat is a morale booster for us.
“Our game against Heartland we are going there to retrieve the points we dropped at home last week, we are going all out to get the maximum points.
“If you look at the league lately there isn’t home advantage anymore. We are going to Awka to give our all for the victory.”
